About Shar 

Meet Shar, a highly qualified Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong educational foundation and extensive clinical experience. Her background includes a combined total of 15 years of medical and mental health experience to include completion of an advanced degree at Eastern Kentucky University, two bachelor's degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of South Alabama, and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Old Dominion University.

Over the last seven years, Shar has dedicated her career to working with both children and adults. Her experience spans diverse settings, including pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, pediatric home health, pediatric psychiatric inpatient care, and substance misuse treatment for both pediatric and adult populations.

Her clinical focus includes the treatment of depression, anxiety, substance misuse, mood instability, trauma, psychosis, and co-occurring disorders. The broad healthcare experience she has been fortunate to acquire has equipped her with exceptional communication skills, enabling her to effectively engage with clients and their families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Shar is  committed to delivering empathetic, safe, and patient-centered care, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
